Erica Almquist is a multidisciplinary creative working at the intersection of photography, music and visual storytelling. Whether she’s behind the camera or creating as music artist ERICA, her work is rooted in the same purpose: building distinct, immersive worlds that capture identity, create connection and leave a lasting impression.

Photography and music have gone hand-in-hand for Erica since childhood. While training as a classical violinist, she picked up a camera at 11 years old and began teaching herself music production and composition by 13, laying the foundation for two creative paths that would continue to evolve alongside one another.

At 18, Erica traveled to Seoul, South Korea, where she fell in love with the city’s fast-paced creative culture and distinctive approach to fashion and visual expression. She returned a year later and spent two years living, studying and working in Seoul, gaining experience alongside world-class fashion and event photographers and developing the perspective that continues to influence her photography today. Her work now focuses on creative brand, fashion and artist photography, helping people and brands translate who they are into compelling imagery that feels authentic and intentional.

As ERICA, she brings that same world-building approach to music. After stepping away from classical violin in college, she continued writing, composing and producing privately for more than a decade before releasing her debut single, “Salty,” in 2022. Her debut project of the same name followed in May 2025, establishing her sound as an R&B/Soul/Pop artist, songwriter, producer and sound engineer. She is currently developing her first studio album.

Beyond her creative work, Erica is passionate about investing in both her community and her well-being. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Cincinnati and values opportunities to make an impact through creativity and service. In her personal life, she gravitates toward a slower, more intentional lifestyle, enjoying literary fiction, hiking, time in nature and staying active. A strong advocate for healthy eating and movement, Erica views wellness, creativity and community as essential parts of a balanced and fulfilling life.
