My Go-To Gear for Fashion & Product Photography

Whether I’m shooting an editorial fashion concept or capturing sleek product flat-lays, having the right gear makes all the difference. I often get asked what tools I use behind the scenes—so I’m sharing my full photography toolkit below. This list includes everything from my go-to camera and lenses to props and editing software I swear by. If you’re a photographer, creator, or just gear-curious, keep reading for a peek inside my kit.

Camera body | Canon 5D Mark IV

Fast autofocus, great in low light, perfect for both studio and street work, some would say the king of DSLRs. (I am some.)

Lens I can’t live without | Canon 24-70mm 2.8

Perfect all-around lens for both wide shots and tight details.

Lighting Equipment

Strobes / Flashes: Godox SK400II 400Ws / Neewer Z1-N / Canon Speedlite EL-10

Light Modifiers: LimoStudio 3400W Boxlights / Selens 43 Inch Photography Reflectors

Props and Backdrops

I’m not going to lie… I’m a big fan of Amazon.

I’ve gotten a 16 piece foam prop set, backdrops, extra lighting pieces for creating unique shadows, and even fake ice for product photography.

Editing tools & workflow

I edit on a 16 inch M2 MacBook Pro and a 27inch Samsung curved monitor. I usually start an image in Lightroom and finish up in Photoshop.

The essentials I carry

  • Extra camera batteries

  • SD cards and SD card holder

  • Scissors

Gear isn’t everything—but the right tools definitely help bring your creative vision to life. I’m always evolving my kit based on the kind of shoots I’m doing, but these are the staples I keep coming back to.
